10 Powerful Adhkar for Wealth and Rizq (Sustenance) – With Arabic, Transliteration, Meaning, and Authentic Sources

In Islam, rizq (sustenance) is from Allah alone. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us beautiful du’as and adhkar to seek provision. Below are some powerful azkār for rizq that are backed by the Qur’an and authentic ahadith. These include Arabic text, transliteration, meaning, and their sources.

1. Asking Allah’s Forgiveness (Istighfar)

Arabic:

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ

Transliteration: Astaghfirullāh

Meaning: I seek forgiveness from Allah.

Evidence: Allah says in the Qur'an:

"Ask forgiveness from your Lord. Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance, and give you increase in wealth and children…"
(Qur’an, Surah Nuh 71:10–12)

2. Dua of the Prophet ﷺ After Fajr and Maghrib

Arabic:

اللّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بحَلالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

Transliteration: Allāhumma kfinī bi-ḥalālika 'an ḥarāmika, wa aghninī bi-faḍlika 'amman siwāk.

Meaning: O Allah! Suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.

Hadith: Reported by Tirmidhi (3563), graded Hasan.

3. Dua Musa عليه السلام

Arabic:

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

Transliteration: Rabbi innī limā anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqīr.

Meaning: My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.

Evidence: Mentioned in Surah Al-Qasas (28:24), this was the du’a Prophet Musa (AS) made before receiving sustenance and support.

4. Dua for Blessing and Abundance

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِي رِزْقِي

Transliteration: Allāhumma bārik lī fī rizqī

Meaning: O Allah, bless my sustenance.

Evidence: Though this specific phrase is not a direct hadith, it is derived from general prophetic supplications asking Allah for barakah (blessing) in provision.

5. Saying “Bismillah” Before Eating or Starting Work

Arabic:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Transliteration: Bismillāh

Meaning: In the name of Allah

Hadith:

"When any of you eats, let him mention the Name of Allah. If he forgets, let him say: ‘Bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirahu’.”

(Narrated by Abu Dawood, 3767; classed as sahih by al-Albaani)

This general dhikr brings barakah and prevents shaytan from partaking.

6. Reciting Surah Al-Waqi’ah

Hadith: The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever recites Surah Al-Waqi’ah every night will never be afflicted by poverty.”

(Narrated by Ibn Asakir and others; authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani in Silsilat al-Saheehah, no. 289)

Note: While there is difference in authenticity among scholars, many have practiced this as a means of rizq.

7. Ya Wahhāb – One of Allah’s Names

Arabic:

يَا وَهَّابُ، ارْزُقْنِي

Transliteration: Yā Wahhābu, urzuqnī.

Meaning: O Bestower, provide for me.

Reason: Calling upon Allah by His names is part of powerful du’a:

"And to Allah belong the best names, so call upon Him by them…" (Qur’an 7:180)

8. Ayah from Surah At-Talaq (65:2-3)

Arabic:

وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًۭا * وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ

Transliteration: Wa man yattaqillāha yaj‘al lahu makhraja * Wa yarzuqhu min ḥaythu lā yaḥtasib

Meaning: And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect.

(So, whoever wants rizq and abundant blessings from Allah, should make sure he or she fears Allah)

Source: Qur’an 65:2–3

9. Salawat on the Prophet ﷺ

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Transliteration: Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammadin wa ‘alā āli Muḥammad

Meaning: O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

Hadith: The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Send blessings upon me abundantly, for your blessings upon me are a means of purification for you, and ask Allah to grant me al-Wasilah..."

(Sunan An-Nasa’i 1292, Hasan)

It is also reported that increasing salawat brings removal of worries and opening of rizq (Tirmidhi 2457)

10. General Dua for Rizq

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي رِزْقًا حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا وَاسِعًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ

Transliteration: Allāhumma urzuqnī rizqan ḥalālan ṭayyiban wāsi‘an mubārakan fīh

Meaning: O Allah, provide me with lawful, pure, abundant, and blessed sustenance.

Final Thoughts:

These adhkar and du’as are powerful tools for attracting rizq, but they must be paired with:

  • Tawakkul (reliance on Allah)
  • Hard work and halal effort
  • Avoidance of haram income
  • Charity and gratitude

"If you were to rely upon Allah with the reliance He is due, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds; they go out hungry in the morning and return full in the evening."

(Hadith – Tirmidhi 2344)

May Allah increase your rizq and bless your income with barakah.
