1. Neglecting Salah (Prayer)

The first thing you’ll be questioned about on the Day of Judgment.

What has caused you to enter Hell?” They will say: “We were not of those who used to pray.”
— Surah Al-Muddaththir (74:42-43)

2. Wasting Time in the Dunya

Time is a blessing we often realize too late.

Until, when death comes to one of them, he says, ‘My Lord, send me back so I may do good in what I left behind!’”
— Surah Al-Mu’minun (23:99–100)

3. Not Giving in Charity

Many will regret holding back wealth.

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you…”
— Surah Al-Munafiqun (63:10)

4. Following Bad Friends

Some friendships lead straight to Hell.

“Woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.”
— Surah Al-Furqan (25:28)

5. Backbiting, Lying & Slandering

Many regret the sins of the tongue — the easiest to commit.

A man may utter a word displeasing to Allah without thinking it important, and it will throw him into Hell.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari

6. Not Seeking Knowledge

Islam honors those who seek knowledge.

“Say: Are those who know equal to those who do not know?”
— Surah Az-Zumar (39:9)

7. Breaking Family Ties

Many realize too late the value of kinship.

“No one who severs ties of kinship will enter Paradise.”
— Sahih Muslim

8. Delaying Repentance

Some wait until it’s too late to ask Allah for forgiveness.

“Allah accepts the repentance of the servant so long as his soul has not reached his throat.”
— Sunan al-Tirmidhi

Final Thoughts

Now is the time to reflect. Don’t wait until it’s too late. May Allah grant us a good ending, save us from regret, and allow us to act before death reaches us.
