Signs That Allah Loves You – Backed by Qur’an and Hadith

Do you ever wonder: Does Allah love me? How do I know if I'm on the right path?

The love of Allah is the greatest gift a believer can ever have. While we can never fully comprehend His wisdom, there are certain signs from the Qur’an and Hadith that give us hope, reassurance, and motivation.

1. Allah Tests You – Because He Loves You

The Prophet ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… said:

“When Allah loves a servant, He tests him.”
(Tirmidhi, 2396)

Tests in life are not punishments but signs that Allah wants to purify and elevate you.

2. You’re Guided to Do Good Deeds

If your heart is pulled toward prayer, charity, modesty, learning Islam, and helping others, then know this:

“Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:213)

He puts the love of goodness in the hearts of those He loves.

3. You’re Loved by Others

The Prophet ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… said:
When Allah loves a person, He calls Jibreel and says, ‘I love so-and-so; so love him.’ Then Jibreel loves him, and makes the people on earth love him.”
(Bukhari & Muslim)

This is why you might notice unexpected love or respect from others – it’s from Allah.

4. You Hate Sin and Feel Guilty When You Slip

Your heart feels pain when you sin? That’s a sign of iman and Allah’s mercy.

The Prophet ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… said:
“If your good deeds please you and your bad deeds upset you, then you are a believer.”
(Ahmad and Ibn Majah)

5. Allah Makes You Remember Him Often

If you remember Allah frequently – by making dhikr, du'a, or just thinking about Him during the day – then:

“So remember Me; I will remember you.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:152)

What greater honor than Allah remembering you by name?

6. You Feel Content with What You Have

True peace is a gift. If you feel inner contentment, even without having everything, that is Ridaa (pleasure in Allah’s decree). And He gives that to whom He loves.

“Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure.”
(Surah Al-Infitar 82:13)

7. You Have the Opportunity to Repent Often

If Allah opens the door of tawbah for you again and again, it is a sign He wants to forgive and purify you.

“Indeed, Allah loves those who repent…”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:222)

Conclusion

Allah's love is not about how perfect you are, but how sincere you are.
He loves those who try, fall, rise, and return to Him again and again. May Allah make us among those He loves – Ameen.
